For general peak season travel, plan to book 6 to 12 months ahead. Popular spring break weeks in March and Easter periods book quickly, so treat these like holiday weeks.

Christmas and New Year charters operate on a different timeline entirely. These prime weeks often book 12 to 18 months in advance, with returning guests frequently reserving their next holiday charter before their current trip ends. If you have your heart set on a holiday sailing vacation, start the conversation with your broker more than a year out.

Shoulder season bookings in May, June, and November offer more flexibility. Many guests successfully book 2 to 4 months ahead during these periods, though the best vessels still benefit from early planning. Last-minute deals occasionally emerge, but you sacrifice choice for potential savings.
