Estimate your charter costAbaco catamaran charter — common questions
- What size catamaran is best for sailing the Bahamas?
- Our yacht, Let's Geaux, is a 40-foot Bali Catspace — a size many find ideal for the Bahamas. She's roomy enough for up to eight guests across four cabins, stable and comfortable on open-water passages, yet shallow enough to reach the Abacos' skinny anchorages and beaches.
- How much does an Abaco catamaran charter cost?
- It depends on your dates, trip length, and group size. Use our charter cost estimator for a planning figure, or contact us for a personalized quote — there's no payment required to inquire.
- What's the difference between Captain by Day and Fully Captained?
- With Captain by Day, Captain Ron guides your days and leaves each evening, so you have the yacht to yourselves overnight. With Fully Captained, he stays aboard throughout for a completely hands-off trip. Both are captain-only charters — there is no separate cook or steward.
- When is the best time to sail the Abacos?
- December through May offers the calmest, driest sailing, outside Atlantic hurricane season; summer is warm and quieter. Your captain reads the wind each day to pick the most sheltered route.
- Are meals and drinks included?
- You provision the boat yourselves at Maxwell's, the local grocery in Marsh Harbour, and bring your own beer, wine, or liquor — keeping costs down and the menu entirely yours. Captain Ron helps you plan provisioning before you sail.
