The Berry Islands enjoy a tropical savanna climate with warm temperatures year-round. Located northwest of Nassau on the edge of the Great Bahama Bank, these islands benefit from steady trade winds, crystal-clear waters, and relatively mild conditions compared to other Caribbean destinations. The dry season runs from late November through April with pleasant temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s F, minimal rainfall, and consistent northeast trade winds averaging 12-16 knots. The wet season from May to October brings higher humidity, afternoon thundershowers, and warmer temperatures reaching the upper 80s to low 90s F. Hurricane season officially runs June 1 through November 30, with peak risk in August through October. Water temperatures remain swimmable year-round, ranging from 75 F in winter to 86 F in summer. The Berry Islands offer excellent sailing conditions during the dry season with reliable winds and calm seas.
