Bimini enjoys a tropical monsoon climate with warm temperatures year-round, making it a prime sailing destination just 50 miles east of Miami. Winter months (December-April) offer the best sailing conditions with comfortable temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s, steady trade winds of 12-16 knots from the northeast, and minimal rainfall. The wet season runs from May through October, with June through September seeing the heaviest precipitation. Hurricane season spans June 1 through November 30, with peak risk in August through October. Water temperatures remain warm throughout the year, ranging from 76F in winter to 87F in summer, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The dry season from December to April attracts the most visitors, while May offers an excellent shoulder season with warm weather, fewer crowds, and good deals.
