Inagua is the southernmost district of The Bahamas, featuring a hot semi-arid climate with year-round warmth and lower rainfall than northern islands. Known as the flamingo capital of the Caribbean, this remote destination offers excellent sailing conditions from December through April when trade winds average 12-15 knots and hurricane risk is nonexistent. The wet season runs May through November with peak rainfall in September-October. Hurricane season officially spans June 1 to November 30, with highest risk August through October. Due to its remote location and limited tourism infrastructure, crowds remain low year-round, making it ideal for sailors seeking solitude and wildlife encounters.
