Frequently asked questions

How do the Berry Islands compare to the Exumas?
The Berry Islands offer more solitude and fewer charter boats than the popular Exumas. While you won't find swimming pigs or Thunderball Grotto, you will discover equally stunning waters, excellent diving, and a more authentic Bahamian experience. The islands have limited facilities, so provisions are arranged before departure.
Is Hoffman's Cay blue hole safe for swimming?
Yes, the blue hole is a popular swimming and cliff-jumping destination. The water is approximately 20 feet deep with a sandy bottom (some sources cite greater depths). The cliff jump is about 20 feet high. Non-jumpers can access the blue hole via a gradual beach entry.
Are there marinas and fuel in the Berry Islands?
Chub Cay Resort & Marina and Great Harbour Cay Marina are the only full-service facilities in the chain. Both offer fuel, water, electricity, and provisioning. Little Harbour Cay has limited services. Plan fuel and provisioning stops carefully given the remote nature of most anchorages.
