Marina facilities & services

The state-of-the-art marina provides 50 slips with depths to 3 metres (approximately 10 feet), accommodating vessels up to 200 feet LOA. Shore power options include 30, 50, and 100 amp service. Each slip has unlimited fresh reverse osmosis water, cable TV hookup, and wireless internet.

Fuel service is available at the marina, along with a full-service boatyard for repairs and maintenance. The 24-hour security includes video surveillance, and dockside assistance is provided for arrivals and departures.

Pink Sands & Dunmore Town

Harbour Island's legendary Pink Sands Beach runs three miles along the island's eastern shore, its distinctive pink hue created by crushed foraminifera shells mixed with white sand. A short golf cart ride from the marina brings you to this globally famous beach, consistently ranked among the world's best.

Dunmore Town itself is a living museum of Loyalist architecture, its narrow streets lined with 18th and 19th century clapboard cottages painted in tropical pastels. Named for the colonial governor who established a summer residence here in the 1780s, the settlement rewards leisurely exploration on foot or by golf cart.

Navigation & approach

Harbour Island's protected anchorage measures roughly 1.5 nautical miles in length and width, offering ample room for vessels to anchor or manoeuvre. The approach from the north requires navigating the channel between Harbour Island and Eleuthera with attention to the breaking reef extending northeast from Whale Point — good visibility and settled conditions make for easier reading of the water.

Two narrow channels lead to Dunmore Town, with controlling depths of approximately 1.2 to 1.9 metres. Dockmaster staff monitor VHF channel 16 from 7am to 7pm daily to assist with approach and berthing.

Getting there

Harbour Island lies off the northeast tip of Eleuthera, approximately 50 nautical miles east of Nassau. Most yachts approach from Nassau or the Abacos, entering through the channel between Harbour Island and Eleuthera. North Eleuthera Airport is the closest airfield, with water taxi service to the island. Once docked at Valentines, golf carts are the standard way to explore — rentals can be arranged through the marina concierge.
