About Bella Giornata
Her sister ship, CU Sailing II, sleeps eight in four cabins. Bella Giornata sleeps six in three, and that is exactly the point. She was built as the owner's version of the 2023 Lagoon 46: the whole port hull is a single master suite, and the starboard hull holds two double cabins. Every cabin has a head of its own, so three couples, or a family of up to six, can share a week aboard without anyone waiting for a bathroom in the morning.
The owner's suite is the reason to book her. One couple gets a double berth with space to walk around it, a desk and a place to sit, a big en-suite head where the shower is a stall of its own, and hanging lockers, all with a hull to themselves. Give it to the pair celebrating an anniversary, to the parents, or to whoever did the organising. The two guest doubles each have a private head too, so the arrangement feels fair even to the people who did not draw the suite.
Outside the cabins, the saloon is wrapped in windows, the galley is open to the aft cockpit so meals drift outside without effort, and the flybridge has the helm, some shade and a sunpad for whoever wants the sun. With six aboard instead of eight, each of those spaces simply has more room per person than it would on a fully booked four-cabin boat. On the first afternoon you hardly notice. By midweek, with snorkel gear drying, books left on cushions and nobody squeezing past anybody, it is the reason you chose her.
Her equipment list covers the things that matter in the islands: air conditioning, a generator, a watermaker backing up a 159-gallon tank, Bluetooth audio in the saloon and cockpit, a cockpit grill, a freshwater deck shower, snorkel gear for everyone and a stand-up paddleboard. Two 45 hp Yanmars do the motoring, and a full-batten main with a furling headsail does the sailing. She draws 4.3 feet, a few inches less than the two flagships, which gives a little more freedom in the shallows.
Three cabins suit an unhurried week. Spend two nights in Hope Town instead of one, climb the red-and-white lighthouse, and take the dinghy to Tahiti Beach at the southern tip of Elbow Cay when the sandbar is showing at low tide. Have lunch on Man-O-War, a cay with a long boatbuilding history, then work south through the quieter cays toward Little Harbour, timing its shallow entrance for high water. If the weather settles, Green Turtle Cay is a crossing of the Whale Cay passage away.
The trade-off is plain: she sleeps two fewer than CU Sailing II and costs slightly more. In the 2026/27 booking year her weekly rate runs from $7,312 in early August to $16,875 over Christmas and New Year, against $7,150 to $16,500 for her four-cabin sister. Add the mandatory Comfort Pack, $1,050 for the first week and $630 for each week after. The 10% Bahamian VAT is included in those rates, and the 4% cruising tax is charged separately. The refundable deposit is $1,500. Sail her bareboat with a qualified skipper aboard, or ask us to arrange a local skipper through Abaco Sail.

Operated by Abaco Sail at Conch Inn Marina
All twelve Abaco Sail catamarans we list start and finish their charters at Conch Inn Marina in Marsh Harbour, the main town on Great Abaco. Abaco Sail's own dock team prepares each boat, hands her over at Slip 14 and takes her back at the end of your trip, and the sheltered water of the Sea of Abaco begins just outside the harbour.

Bella Giornata: common questions
What is the owner's version of the Lagoon 46?
It is the three-cabin layout. On Bella Giornata the entire port hull is one master suite: the double berth can be reached from either side, there is a desk and a place to sit, a large private head with a stand-alone shower, and hanging lockers. The starboard hull has two double cabins, and each has a head of its own. That adds up to six berths in three cabins, with nobody sharing a head.
How does Bella Giornata compare with CU Sailing II?
Both are 2023 Lagoon 46s with a flybridge, a 26.1-foot beam, a 4.3-foot draft, the same tanks and equipment list, the same Comfort Pack ($1,050 for the first week) and a $1,500 deposit. Bella Giornata has three cabins, three heads and six berths, 45 hp Yanmars, a full-batten main and a furling headsail. CU Sailing II has four cabins, four heads and eight berths, 57 hp Yanmars, a square-top main and a self-tacking jib, and costs slightly less each season.
Can more than six people sail on Bella Giornata?
Her papers register her for eight passengers, but she has six berths, so six is the right number for a week aboard. If your group is seven or eight, her four-cabin sister CU Sailing II sleeps eight, and groups of nine to twelve should look at the six-cabin flagships, CU Sailing and Sapphire Seas.
What does a week on Bella Giornata cost?
In the 2026/27 booking year (October 15, 2026 to October 14, 2027) her weekly rate runs from $7,312 (August 1–18) to $16,875 (December 24 to January 6), plus the mandatory Comfort Pack of $1,050 for the first week and $630 for each additional week. VAT at 10% is already included; the 4% cruising tax is charged separately. Discounts of up to 15% can apply for repeat guests, bookings made six or more months ahead, and charters of two weeks or longer. She is closed August 19 to October 14 for annual yard service.
Can we sail Bella Giornata ourselves?
Yes, as a bareboat charter, provided someone in your party is a qualified skipper able to handle a 46-foot catamaran with a 26.1-foot beam. Once you are clear of the dock, you are sailing the protected water of the Sea of Abaco, with short hops between anchorages. If nobody aboard has that experience, Abaco Sail can provide a local skipper; ask us about the fee and arrangements for your dates.
